La versión más reciente y mejorada de Hoverprobe™ se utiliza con el medidor de espesor de recubrimiento SI9600¬† para probar el espesor de recubrimiento, laca y barniz en hojalatas planas. Hoverprobe™ II flota sin esfuerzo hasta posicionarse sobre un colchón de aire con solo presionar un botón. Cuando se suelta el botón, el Hoverprobe™ simplemente se asienta sobre la hoja bajo su propio peso fijo, aplicando así la misma carga precisa a la punta de la sonda para cada prueba, brindando lecturas altamente confiables y repetibles.

Coating weight measurements often experience some level of inconsistency, which means it's best to be cautious and apply extra coating to ensure target weights are achieved. As a result, a certain percentage of excess coating is always being added. However, with Sencon's reliable coating thickness probes, you can gain better control over the coating process. Even a slight reduction in coating usage can lead to significant cost savings and conservation of raw materials, making it a smart investment.
The IS9651 Hoverprobe II now features a metal base that is highly-resistant to scratches and more durable. The base also serves as the second probe in a new measurement method, eliminating the need for a crocodile clip. With this improvement, there is no longer any risk of damaging the sheets being measured, making the device even more reliable and accurate.
The IS9651 Hoverprobe II now uses improved cables and connectors encased in an orange polyurethane jacket. It is designed to be highly durable & resistant to damages and cuts caused by rubbing or scraping with other objects. It comes with a built-in stainless cable splitter which protects the electronics used in the connector cable.
The probe tips are now better and easier to replace as they are prefitted in quick-connect sockets. The settling time after a probe tip replacement has also been drastically reduced, meaning you’re quicker back to work. Innosen highly recommends changing the probe tip every 4-6 weeks.
The IS9651 Hoverprobe II now features fewer internal wear parts, resulting in a reduction in maintenance requirements. Additionally, there are now fewer issues with damage due to overpressure.
At the press of a button the probe floats quickly and easily into position on a cushion of air, requiring minimal manual side force to move it to the desired location on the sheet. When the button is released, the Hoverprobe™ simply settles onto the sheet under its own fixed weight, thereby applying the same precise load to the probe tip for every test, giving highly reliable and repeatable readings.
