The latest top plates are magnetically attached for quick and trouble free interchange. The plates, which are affordable and easily stored, are all you need to test ends and caps of different shapes and sizes. Custom top plates can also be made to your specification.

Simple change parts allow testing of a wide range of end types and sizes:

• Round Ends/Lids:Round Ends/Lids: Standard up to 603 (153mm) diameter – Large up to 903 (230mm)*
• Rectangular or Oval ends: FPEO Key-open End, Hansa, Dingley, Club
• Aerosol cans: cones and domes
• PT Caps: virtually all PT caps can be tested, including lugged caps
• Special top plates are also available for porosity testing cut samples from coated flat sheets

SEMI-AUTOMATIC OPERATION

To measure a batch of ends, all the operator needs to do is load the ends one at a time and invert the pot, with no need to push buttons on the gauge

DURABLE DESIGN

For maximum reliability and durability the adapters are made of plastic and stainless steel with titanium probes that will not corrode.

INTEGRATED CALIBRATION VERIFICATION

The SI9020TMR is equipped with test resistors which are controlled by a rotary switch on the side of the unit.

SELF CHECKING

When used with the dedicated SI9100, contacts are verified before every test and any voltage drop in the cables is compensated for so that 6.3 volts is always supplied for the test. This leads to more accurate measurements and better repeatability.

AUTOMATIC VACUUM TRIGGERING

Ends are held in place by vacuum. This is triggered either manually or automaticly just before the probes make contact with the end under test by using the optional SI9023 Vacuum Control unit. This can be useful with large batches as it simplifies and speeds up operation. It also prevents accidental spillage of electrolyte when the adapter is inverted.

*PLEASE NOTE: Large end adapter can also be used for smaller ends with a change of top-plate (standard end adapter cannot be used with larger ends).
