SI9600 Coating Thickness Gauge

Rapid and accurate measurement of lacquer film thickness (film weight) of internal and external coatings on beverage and food cans or flat sheets

If coating thickness (weight) measurements suffer from a degree of variation, you have to err on the safe side when applying coatings in order to be sure that target weights are met. Therefore a percentage of unnecessary coating is always being applied. With reliable measurements from Sencon's coating thickness probes, the coating process can be brought under tighter control.

Please Note: To use this gauge you will also need a suitable coatings probe such as Sencon's SI9651 for testing flat sheets, SI9507 for formed cans, or SI9560 for formed aerosols and tubes.
*The SI9600HF is a special variant of the SI9600 Coatings Thickness Gauge that uses a higher frequency test current which is needed for the smaller surface area of the SI9560 formed tube probes tips.

ACCURATE READINGS

The gauge is first calibrated to a known coating sample of the type being tested. Comparative test readings are then highly accurate with excellent repeatability.

SEMI-AUTOMATIC OPERATION

Once calibrated, the operator only has to put the probe on the product in the test location. The SI9600 then automatically checks for stability, takes and displays the reading, and sends results via RS232 serial port.
