LACQUER SPRAY
TIMING AND CONTROL

Coatings and lacquers are an expensive component of the canmaking process and thus it is very important that this part of the process is tightly controlled to reduce waste. Spray timing and detection systems reduce spray gun variation, ensuring that a more consistent film weight is applied. They also inspect wet lacquer inside beverage cans on the outfeed of the Lacquer Spray Machine (LSM), giving immediate warning of spray system problems and preventing bad cans from mixing with good ones. This allows any offending spray machines to be stopped while the remainder continues with production, minimizing interruption of production output.
