High speed solenoid driver systems

Sencon High Speed Solenoid Drivers can be used wherever DC solenoids are used in time critical applications their specially tailored electronics overcome slow and 'sticky' solenoids. Typical uses include machine clutches, reject solenoids, glue and sealant applicators and solenoids subject to cyclic operation on rotating machinery.

  • Suitable for use with 12 or 24 Volt DC solenoids of up to 40 Watt
  • Trigger inputs are sink or source selectable
  • 14 Volt power rail and inhibit input provided
  • Three different driver boards available to fit a wide range of applications
  • Adjustable pick-up time from 5 to 35 ms
  • Adjustable hold voltage from 5 to 17 VDC

PLEASE NOTE: Most commercially available power supplies do not have the peak power capability required to operate high speed solenoids.
40 Volt DC unregulated power supply with high current rectifier diodes and capacitive energy storage for peak inrush currents during the 'pick - up' phase. Supply rating is 70 Watts continuous duty with a much higher peak power rating.

Fast and Repeatable Response

Slow and 'sticky' solenoids play havoc with precise process control. Sencon’s High Speed Solenoid Drivers deliver high turn-on voltage, minimum hold voltage and reverse EMF flyback to give a fast and repeatable DC solenoid response. Sencon’s solenoid driver technology ensures consistent, reliable results, which translates into direct cost savings.

  • For voltage operated DC solenoids up to 40 Watts or for the MEG™ gun
  • Power supply does not droop or sag—instant recovery between sprays
  • The solenoid switching circuits are in the power module
