Gauging & Measuring | Semi Automatic Gauges | MEER™ Multi-End Enamel Rater
Using the intuitive, icon based interface, the semi-automatic MEER™ Multi-End Enamel Rater allows operators to work rapidly and efficiently through a batch of ends without having to press any buttons. Readings are displyed on the gauge screen and sent to a printer or PC via the serial interface.
Electrolyte: We recommend that electrolyte used in porosity testing/enamel rating is 1% Sodium Chloride solution. This is made by putting 10g salt in 1 liter of de-ionized water.
Due to continual product development, actual specifications may change. E&OE
The latest MEER™ has recessed knife holder blocks that fit over the end curl for optimum stability of electrical contact while also making the unit safer to use. The design of the electrolyte chamber, hinges and locking mechanism promote contact stability and gauge durability. Rapid-fit connectors also reduce maintenance needs.
Quick-change rubber seals allow rapid interchange of end sizes from 200 to 206 (Smaller sizes down to 113 and larger ends up to 209 are avaialble by special order). Seals for one end size are normally provided, other sizes can be bundled on request.
Operators can work rapidly and efficiently through a batch without having to press any buttons. Once loaded with ends, the test chamber is inverted, at which point the gauge automatically starts the test cycle. An internal timer freezes the reading when a preset time has elapsed (default 4 seconds). The reading is displayed on screen and transmitted to a printer or PC via the serial interface.
The Multi-End Enamel Rater constantly monitors both the electrolyte level and the end contact of each test pocket. This safety check is carried out before and throughout the test, since a fault with either could create a ‘pass’ result regardless of the actual lacquer quality. This in-built safety function ensures that every test is performed correctly. The status of each end test pocket is displayed in a 4 x 2 matrix on the gauge’s screen.
High resolution electronics with advanced test monitoring features, in a rugged, waterproof casing with specially recessed connectors designed to withstand the corrosive environment of the enamel rating test in the factory environment.
