LINE CONTROL SENSORS

Robust sensors for reliably monitoring and controlling gaps, jams and counts on canmaking lines

CONTROLLING A
CANMAKING LINE

Sensors play an essential role in machine control and automation. Sensors provide information about cans as they move through the canmaking process, providing feedback on the motion, position, distance and proximity of product. The flow of cans traveling through production on the conveyor/track needs to be controlled. Sensors mounted on the conveyor can manage buffer amounts, identify jams, and monitor and control conveyor speeds to ensure the smooth and reliable running of the production process.

Sencon has been manufacturing line control sensors specifically for the canmaking industry for over 40 years. Sencon sensors have a global reputation for optimum performance and durability, with unique features which are specially designed for the canmaking industry. These include: sensing fields optimized for detecting cans on conveyors; electronics developed for maximum stability; immunity from static discharge; casings that are highly resistant to mechanical crushing. All of which means fewer replacements, less downtime, improved productivity, and therefore long-term cost savings.
