Material Thickness Range

0.12 to 0.49 mm ( 0.0047 to 0.019 inch ) when configured for thin sheets. 0.5 to 1.6 mm ( 0.020 to 0.063 inch ) when configured for thick sheets.

Increased Line Efficiency - Machines will have the best possible protection against damage from double fed sheets. Line downtime to correct damage from double feeds will be eliminated; so too will maintenance time for adjustments to the double sheet protection devices.

Improved Product Quality - With the SC231 fitted, you can be confident that double feeds will not go undetected, eliminating defective products due to unlacquered sheets. Built-in self diagnostics will warn if the Detector is faulty, and can even be used to shut down the line.

Reduced Costs - The SC231 is a self-contained system, requiring only a pair of sensing heads to be fitted, together with connections for power/signals. The heads are made from rugged stainless steel and all electronics are fully encapsulated for a lifetime of operation in the toughest factory environment. As well as long life and zero maintenance costs, the SC231 is lower in price than most competitive products.

Self calibrating - The double sheet detector automatically calibrates at the beginning of a batch, so there is no need to manually set. It constantly monitors its own settings, meaning you don’t have to waste time checking and re-adjusting the sensor, pressing buttons or adjusting dials. Truly a ‘fit-and-forget’ device.

Self checking output - A heartbeat signal for every good sheet confirms that the sensor is working.

Built-in sheet counter - By using the heartbeat signal as an input. No extra counters or other devices are required.

All electronics enclosed inside the sensor body - No need for additional control boxes.

Industry standard sensor signal levels - Makes it easy to link into the line control system using PNP, NPN outputs.
