Anti-Jitter Modules

Sencon Anti-Jitter Modules and Totalizers provide a cost effective means of obtaining reliable count signals or totals in the very difficult environment of metal packaging. These devices can be used with Sencon's specialized count sensors or with a pair of generic sensors or opto-switches per channel.

sencon’s unique count technology
Sencon’s unidirectional count sensors for canmaking lines are world renowned for their accuracy and reliability. The same benefits are also available to other product lines by using Anti-Jitter Module / Totalizers together with generic sensors or optical switches. Situations where the product flow is stopped but the belt continues to run can make product shake or jitter in front of sensors, which can then lead to cumulative miscounting. Products may also back up or bounce so that they reverse across the face of a count sensor, only to be counted a second time when the conveyor starts moving again.
intelligent product counting
All of these problems make accurate spoilage analysis very difficult. If the output of two closely mounted sensors or opto-switches are fed into the Anti-Jitter Module, the system will intelligently sense the direction of product flow and discount any products that reverse across or shake in front of the sensing field. Accurate counting is assured. If a Totalizer model is used, the product can be automatically counted in and counted out for fully reliable spoilage analysis data.
